“Let’s wake Serbia up – Let’s build life”

People’s Office of the President of the Republic of Serbia announces the beginning of the realization of project “Let’s wake Serbia up – Let’s build life” which will provide living space and a regular income out of agricultural production, in village Dubovo, community of Zitoradja, for 30 socially endangered families from Serbia.

The project is being realized by People’s Office of the President of the Republic in cooperation with National Investment Plan of the Republic of Serbia, Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Water Resources, as well as with municipality of Zitoradja and with support of the company DIN “Fabrika duvana”( Tobacco factory)a.d. Nis, integrated in Phillip Maurice International (DIN Phillip Maurice)

Aiming to support the project “Let’s wake Serbia up – Let’s build life” company DIN Phillip Maurice will cede the land for the construction of the houses and for agricultural production. In the first phase of the project they will finance building of five houses. Construction works on infrastructural facilities, plumbing, sewerage system, electric current and road network, and also, works on a design of environment, will be covered by means of National Investment Plan, sub investor of this humanitarian, progressive project, to the total sum of 8 millions dinars. Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Water Resources will help self-preserving agricultural production by different means of support. Recognizing the importance of this project for the progress of the community and for an improvement of the life quality in it, Zitoradja municipality will enable, within its competence, efficient implementation of the project and its successful, future development.

Having in mind a great number of refugees and poor families on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, People’s Office of the President of the Republic is of the opinion that realization of this project will help certain number of families, (motivated to live and work in a village if provided with good conditions for new, better life) solve their problem of housing and existence forever.

Realization of the project “Let’s wake Serbia up – Let’s build life” represents one more aspect of continuous activities of People’s Office of the President of the Republic in the field of permanent struggle against poverty, having for the goal powerful regional and rural development of our country.
