"Lets wake Serbia up" in Grlište

The director of People’s Office of the President of the Republic, Tatjana Pašić, with her associates and the representative of Telenor foundation, Ana Krstić, visited a separate class of “Vladislav Petković Dis” elementary school from Grljan in the village of Grlište near Zaječar.

On the occasion, the school was presented with contemporary teaching material, sports equipment and books, and the pupils were given sweet presents. Within the project “Homework for all of us”, realized by People’s Office, a new plumbing was constructed in March for this eight-year old school with the total number of 40 pupils. Telenor foundation, the donator of the action in Grlište, is for the second time the partner of People’s Office in the project "Lets wake Serbia up" and “Homework for all of us”.

"Lets wake IT Serbia up" visiting the Folk Ensemble “Izvor”

The deputy director of People’s Office, Dejan Marinkovic, within the action "Lets wake IT Serbia up" , visited the Folk Ensemble “Izvor” in the village of Velika Drenova near Trstenik and presented them with a desktop computer and a printer for the occasion. The Folk Ensemble “Izvor” from Velika Drenova, who celebrated their 60th anniversary last year, gathers around 200 members of all ages in folklore dancing, music and singing, drama, and reciting clubs, and they won numerous awards.

This continues the action"Lets wake IT Serbia up", started by People’s Office of the president of the republic in late 2007, and whose goal is to reach the level of IT literacy in Serbia, as well as the availability of computer equipment, software and educational material for schools, groups and gifted individuals from socially threatened categories.
